Chimney Caps

Chimney Caps

Chimney caps prevent unwanted hazards from entering the chimney, keep sparks from escaping leading to roof fires, and prevent the chimney crown from deterioration. Without a cap, water, sleet, snow, and hail can enter your home and cause damage to your flue. They are designed to keep animals, birds, and debris out of your chimney flues. Animals tend to build nests in an uncapped chimney, leading to a blockage in the flue. This allows smoke to back up into the home or carbon monoxide back drafting into your home.

We have the highest quality chimney caps on the market. They are made of 3/16-gauge stainless steel, rust proof, and carry lifetime warranties. We also offer Powder Coated options on any of our caps. We have eight finishes to choose from. Powder Coated caps are durable and scratch resistant.

Looking for a cap that’s designed just for you? We offer a range of different styles. Ask about our custom chimney cap services!

Chase Covers

Chase Covers are designed specifically for prefabricated or factory-built chimneys. It’s a stainless-steel cover that sits on top of a wooden or vinyl sided chimney. These are custom-made for your chimney and are also available with a Powder Coat.

Locktop Damper Systems

The damper is an important component of your fireplace chimney. It’s designed to keep the flow of air that’s coming from outside from entering your chimney when your fireplace is not in use. Secondly, to allow air in when you’re using your fireplace. It helps create draft to make your fire burn more efficiently and keep the smoke out while you’re burning a fire. In addition, stopping cold air, odors, and water from entering back into your home while the fireplace isn’t in use.

Dampers were originally installed right above the smoke chamber. This allows you to turn a knob or slide a handle to open and shut the damper. Overtime, these “rotary” or “throat” dampers deteriorate, rust, and become jammed, leaving the damper stuck or inoperable.

Instead of replacing this outdated component, install a Locktop Damper System. A Locktop creates a tight seal to prevent cold air from entering your home when the fireplace isn’t in use, which can lower your heating bills. Locktop’s have a rubber gasket at the base of the system to seal tightly to the flue. In addition, it keeps animals, rain, debris, and snow out of your fireplace chimney. This damper is installed right on top of your chimney flue, which is the best place for that airtight seal to form. Our technicians drop a cable down the chimney flue and attach it to a handle. This can be mounted in a reachable place so that you can easily open and close the damper system.

We ALWAYS INCLUDE a 20-point safety inspection also known as a Level I inspection, required by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA)
