Chimney Flue Cleanings in Plainville, Massachusetts

What’s a Chimney Flue?

A flue is the interior chamber of your chimney. It’s designed to vent those harmful fumes and smoke from your fireplace, furnace, boiler, hot water heater, wood stove, and pellet stove. It’s important to have a certified chimney sweep technician inspect and clean your flues annually. A clean flue ensures your appliances operate at their highest efficiency, saving you money on your fuel costs.

Many homeowners think their “Oil Guy” or Furnace Technician inspects and cleans their oil and gas flues, however this is not the case. These companies aren’t certified to inspect and clean flues.

We are a safety-first company and want to ensure that your flues are safe for use. Our cleaning process includes using a wire brush whip system with properly sized brushes to accommodate any flue size. We use HEPA filtered high powered vacuum systems to collect dust and debris, then thoroughly clean the flue from top to bottom.

Fireplace Cleaning & Inspection

Our thorough professional cleaning includes sweeping, brushing, vacuuming the chimney, smoke chamber and firebox either from the inside or outside depending on the appliance. We guarantee to try our best to keep dust to an absolute minimum and we take all the precautions to keep your home looking just how we found it. We lay clean drop cloths, we stand by our work and will try our very best to keep dust to an absolute minimum. We use HEPA filters in our professional made just for chimney vacuums. Fireplaces should be cleaned after a chord of well seasoned wood has been burned.

Dryer Vent Cleanings

Dryer vents should be cleaned annually. With lint build up, it causes your dryer to not run efficiently costing you more in utility bills as well as the threat of a possible fire. Lint accumulation around the heating element can reach temperatures of 300 degrees and that's how fires start. These fires are preventable with proper maintenance. Having your dryer exhaust vent cleaned on a regular basis will reduce the risk of fire, reduce energy costs, utility bills, and reduce drying times. Having a CSIA Certified Technician clean your dryer vent should be put on your To Do List every year.

Smoking, Odor and Drafts

There are numerous reasons for drafts, odors, and smoking problems with a fireplace. Give us a call and we’ll get to the bottom of it.
